Women excel as computer professionals
The number of women students in the M.S. in Computer Science program at Maharishi University of Management has grown in recent months and they have found the program very rewarding.
"This is a wonderful place for women to study," reports Sonja Stankovic from Serbia (above on the left). "The campus is very safe and peaceful, and I feel comfortable here. The courses are definitely very challenging, but I really feel that when I finish, I will be ready for my job in the IT industry."
Women students are doing as well as their male counterparts in finding practical training jobs. "The demand for IT professionals in the U.S. is very great right now," reports placement officer Dr. Julie Stephens. "Our students are being placed quickly in interesting, high-paying jobs," she said.
"We enjoy having our group of lady students," said student liaison Julie Beaufort, pictured above in the center. "They're very successful. We encourage all women considering the program to enroll."
"If you are a lady who has the knowledge, wants to learn more and to apply that knowledge, just come here," said Sonja.
