Abstract. An algorithm is a sequence of unambiguous instructions for solving a problem, i.e., for obtaining a required output for any legitimate input in a finite amount of time. Algorithm design is a specific method to create a mathematical process in solving problems. Analysis of Algorithms is the area of computer science that provides tools to analyze the efficiency of different methods of solutions.
