Abstract. An algorithm is a sequence of unambiguous instructions for solving a problem, i.e., for obtaining a required output for any legitimate input in a finite amount of time. Algorithm design is a specific method to create a mathematical process in solving problems. Analysis of Algorithms is the area of computer science that provides tools to analyze the efficiency of different methods of solutions.

Steps in the development of Algorithms
1. Problem definition
2. Development of a modal
3. Specification of Algorithm
4. Designing an Algorithm
5. Checking the correctness of Algorithm
6. Analysis of Algorithm
7. Implementation of Algorithm
8. Program testing
9. Documentation Preparation

Famous Algorithm Design Techniques
• Divide and conquer algorithms
• Dynamic programming
• Greedy algorithms
