The Transcendental Meditation® technique

All students at Maharishi University of Management are required to practice this simple technique twenty minutes twice a day to develop their inner creativity and intelligence and to increase their mental clarity and ability to function effectively under stress. We encourage you to learn the technique from a qualified teacher in your country of residence before you enter our program. If you learn the Transcendental Meditation technique after you arrive on campus, a $625 instruction fee will be debited to your student account. This amount will be added to the loan that you will take out when you are placed in a practical training job.

The cost of learning the Transcendental Meditation program in your country of residence is paid directly to the Transcendental Meditation teacher and is not a part of your tuition payment.

In order to verify that you have learned the Transcendental Meditation technique, an "Admission Supplement" form must be sent to the Computer Professionals Program Admissions Office. You should download this form, fill out the top part, then give the form to your teacher to submit directly to us.

To find a qualified teacher in your country, please see tm.org. In India, see this site.

Special instructions for students from Ethiopia and Nepal:

Applicants residing in Ethiopia and Nepal are required to learn the Transcendental Meditation technique in their home country, and practice it regularly before coming to M.U.M. Please contact your Admissions Representative to find a qualified teacher.
